At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

Pharmacists/Technicians:

  1. Describe the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD).
  2. Given a patient with PD, utilize the treatment algorithm to design and adjust an appropriate treatment regimen.
  3. Counsel patients on the risks and benefits of the various medications used in PD.
  4. Discuss the role of the pharmacist in caring for patients with PD.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:

  

Health-system pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students. This is a knowledge-based program. Cost: There is no charge for members of the LISHP.
